The mascot of ‘Phantoms’

The mascot of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms is named meLvin, which is a Puck-Nosed Pladottle. It is believed that this species was fun-loving and it was common very long ago in the Lehigh Valley. This mascot was introduced by Phantoms in the year 2014 on August 13. meLvin is the third mascot for the team after “Phlex” and “Dax.” You will see the mascot wearing jersey number 55 always. There is a reason behind that; 55 is written as ‘LV’ in Roman and LV is also the initials for the Lehigh Valley. So, this is why Puck-Nosed Pladottle always wears the number 55 jersey.
